Without the proper licences, it is illegal to sell fish. A commercial license "SPL" (saltwater products license)
is the basic commercial license, which most people can get fairly easily. The problem with that is most fish
that you would consider to catch to sale requires the "RS" (restricted spesis) endourcement, which is difficult
to obtain. These require a history of sales of $5,000 annual sales, It is also a possibility that a boat with the
RS attachment may be purchased to qualify. Building up your own history of sales under the SPL in order
to qualify for an RS is typically done with catching and selling bait. If you intend to fish by boat, and travel past
3 miles offshore, them Federal Commercial Permits are also required. Certain fish, like Pompano require
additional endorcements.

With all of this said and done, you would have to sell to a licensed wholesaler only. You could not sell to
resturants, or individuals. Go to www.MyFWC.com search fishing - saltwater - comercial. There you will
find the requirements, and regulations pages. NOAA is the federal agency for fishing offshore.

I run Charter trips, and I am not allowed to sell any fish caught on a charter. I find that unless I want to
go full commercial, I find it best to save money buying some food from the grocery store, and eat more fish!
